Woksi most innovative food product in Finland
WOKSI® is a healthy and tasty potato concept in which the potato is processed into ready-to-eat fresh chilled or frozen potato strips, which can be used, among other things, for stir-frying.
From WOKSI to ROOTY
Together with HZPC and Kiremko, Pohjolan Peruna brought WOKSI to market in December 2019. The WOKSI concept was introduced in Finland under the A-brand "Mummon”. In March 2021 it was rebranded as “Rooty”.
Potato Noodles & Potato Rice
With the rebranding come two modern and innovative potato products: frozen potato noodles & frozen potato rice. They are made from fresh Finnish potatoes with no additives. These new products keep their shape and texture when boiled, baked, and stir-fried.
Rooty Pan Noodle can be used in cooking just like traditional rice or wheat noodles, or spaghetti.
Rooty Potato Rice on the other hand, is just like rice, but made from potato. Both are gluten-free, lactose-free and low-carbohydrate alternatives that can be easily prepared in just a few minutes. They are great for easy everyday cooking, and perfect for consumers who value good, healthy food. Also suitable for vegans.
Most innovative product
We are very proud to mention that Rooty has been awarded as most innovative product in Finland in 2021. Rooty is now also selected as finalist in the Transform Awards Europe 2022 competition.
