Potato Glory is an education brand founded in North America in 2019 and focused on informing and inspiring consumers as well as culinary and foodservice professionals.
The Potato Glory team works to share information on variety-specific traits that are meaningful to consumers, develop value chain partnerships, drive demand for potatoes, and create new business opportunities for potato growers and processors that use HZPC varieties. Potato Glory shares variety-specific information with culinary and foodservice professionals in many ways, including the PICK THE PERFECT POTATO™ app. Potato Glory also invests in research that drives demand for potatoes based on insights about consumer demands and desires.
The Potato Glory Culinary Council
The Potato Glory Culinary Council is a diverse group of 16 culinary and foodservice leaders from across the United States who provide insights and strategic counsel for the Potato Glory Team. This group of talented individuals represents every sector, including noncommercial operations in healthcare and campus dining, large commercial restaurant chains, and foodservice industry consultants. Together, the Potato Glory team and the Potato Glory Culinary Council collaboratively explore ways to increase consumption and enjoyment of potatoes offered on menus.
PICK THE PERFECT POTATO™️ App
PICK THE PERFECT POTATO™️ is a free app designed for culinary professionals as well as home cooks who want insights on how to pick potatoes — based on variety-specific traits — to ensure greater success in the kitchen and more enjoyment at the table. The app shows you each potato variety’s cooking type (e.g., firm, fine & creamy, or floury or crumbly) and recipes that work well based on cooking type and other traits.
The app also shares:
- how-to videos that solve common potato problems;
- tips from professional chefs;
- sustainability insights;
- variety-specific nutrition data;
- consumer research insights;
